Since I was five years old, I have been practicing Hapkido, a Korean martial art. Hapkido has taught me self-defense as well as self-determination, confidence, and body awareness. I am currently a brown black belt, which is one belt away from black belt. Becoming a brown-black belt has been a significant milestone, as training has become more rigorous and intense as I get ready for the black belt. Hapkido has taught me the importance of determination and how hard work will pay off.
