Since the second grade, I’ve been attending after-school art classes. I’ve learned how to use new mediums, including watercolor and charcoal, and a variety of techniques. I especially love to sketch. Art gives me a way to express myself through colors, textures, and mediums. The pieces featured below are from the last two years and show the different styles I’ve been learning.

Art

Title: Plum Still Life

This piece was created using oil pastels, featuring a plum and its background. I made it to inspire people to find beauty and creativity in everyday objects.

Title: The Shy Squirrel

This was one of my favorite ink pieces. I used short, repeated strokes to create shadows and texture, especially around the fur for depth.

Title: Gloomy Morning

This watercolor painting uses a mix of wet-into-wet and dry brush techniques. The scene shows a boat in an industrial setting. The colors, wave details, and small shapes work together to create a moody feel.

Title: Happy Road

This playful watercolor painting uses layering technique to build depth and texture. I wanted to work on a piece that would make me happy and smile. The simple colors and the bold outlines around the different shapes make this painting feel vibrant and fun.

Title: The Thinking Duck

This graphite sketch uses curved strokes and shading to define the duck’s face and create texture and depth. I like the way the small details like the reflection in the pupil give the duck a thoughtful expression and personality.
